Modern Cottage Kitchen

A checkerboard linoleum floor supplies the dash and a glass mosaic backsplash creates sparkle in a sophisticated modern kitchen design. These finishing touches were conceived by designer Jim Walters in collaboration with the homeowners. Rope lighting accents the barrel ceiling while a stainless steel cooktop offsets the white cabinetry.

"Designer James Walters chose large-scale Marmoleum tiles in colors of sand and seaweed to create a bold floor statement. For the backsplash, he installed 1x1 glass tiles in a random pattern around glass blocks."
